FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus - Gun Frames

A frame is the gun's basic body. It can be equipped in the frame slot. Each frame has its own attributes such as weight, power, speed and range.

Cerberus
The Cerberus is Vincent’s basic gun frame. It has average stats at all ranges which makes it the best for medium ranges. Vincent is equipped with this frame from the beginning of the game.

Griffon
The Griffon is a very fast frame but is has a low power. It is best used for short range distances. The Griffon can be obtained in Junon (Chapter 1) while assisting the WRO troops.

Hydra
The Hydra is a slow gun frame but it deals lots of damage. It is best used for long range combat. The Hydra can be obtained in Edge (Chapter 3) before the mission in which you have to kill the Snipers.

Model Gun
The Model Gun frame has very low statistics making it useless in the field. This gun frame can be refined into the second most powerful frame in the game which is the Ultima Weapon. The Model Gun can be obtained in Edge (Chapter 3) after the mission in which you have to protect the kid.

Other Weapons
The Blast Machine Gun and the Bayonet Rifle can be obtained in Chapter 10. The Death Penalty is the most powerful frame in the game and it is the default frame for Chapter 12.
